i'm liking school so far. my classes are really fine, i like criminology, i LOVE shakespeare even though we're reading vile hamlet, and to my extreme surprise, my science class is pretty good, though the lab is pretty lame. my women's studies classes are going to be hard, but i definately need to buck myself up to the challenge. one of my profs is going to make us dinner to eat in her class as its a once a week, two and a half hour deal. she's super cool. the other prof, a former prof of my roommate, is a real-take-no-shit-type. she's hard on absences and doesn't tolerate excuses. it'll be really good for procrastinator me. my swimming class was dropped quickly, simply because it was going to be a PAIN in the ass to get there on time from criminology. so i'll look into taking it again later.

the real flaw of this year is that kendra, my prof who inspired me to become a women's studies major, moved to portland, oregon, and is now married to her long time partner, josh, who will be adopting her adorable son, sebastian. i'm soooo happy for her, this is something she wanted for a long time, but i'll miss having her be my teacher. hands down, she's the best one i've ever had. but i suppose i couldn't have her forever, i'm just grateful she taught my 191 class to begin with. i'd probably be very different otherwise.
